You Can Sell on eBay Even If You Are Broke

Selling on eBay is an excellent way of making money even if you don't have money. Let me tell you how to do that.

First open a free account with eBay or to any of their international sites where you live.

Rummage your house for those items which you are no longer using such as clothes and accessories like bags, shoes, and costume jewelries. Do an inventory of all your personal items and anything which you did not use for a year and more, sell it in eBay. This group of items alone will fetch you big amount of money especially if your personal items are made up of good quality brands.

Be sure the items are in good, clean condition before listing them. Do a quick search for the appropriate categories where to list your item before actually listing them and have your auction last for 10 days for maximum exposure to end on a Sunday anytime between 9am to 10pm.

Take good photos of the items you are listing and place 4 photos of each from different angles so customers can have a good view. Create a great description of the item by mentioning the actual label, size, color and describe the advantages of your item . You can say your item starts with a low price but it does not reflect the high quality of the item itself. Remember you are starting on a low price to encourage more people to bid which will result in a bidding frenzy thus jacking up the final bid price at the end of auction.

Describe well the benefits your product can give to your customers. For example it can give her the illusion of being slim because of the vertical lines of the clothing material. It can give her a young looking appearance because of the funky design on it. It can give her a vintage look because of the Victorian style design of the clothes. Prospective buyers will think about these benefits and if what you are offering are the ones they are looking for, then you will have a sale.

After describing the benefits of your product, ask the customers to act by either placing their bid or buy it now. Many sellers make a fantastic description of their item but never ask their customers to buy their products and then wonder why they did not have sales. Remember people need to be told to buy, so tell them to buy your wonderful products and they will.

Once your item is sold, follow through with great packing and prompt shipment, and contact your buyer to inform her what stage the order is. The buyer will appreciate you are keeping her informed and if she is satisfied with your item, you will get a positive feedback about the transaction.

eBay charges sellers a relatively small amount for listing fee, final value fee, and if you are using PayPal for payment, an additional fee for that. All of these charges will be paid one month later in your monthly billing. By that time you should have accumulated money from the proceeds of your sales auction and is ready to pay for these fees.

Repeat this process for your other unused items lying around in your house, and soon you will find your home without clutter and with money in your pocket.
